In this era of widespread industrialization, automation, and globalization, we have chosen a different path! We cultivate our blueberries at a slow and natural pace, in a plantation located near the village of Brezova Glava, in the vicinity of Karlovac.
The wooded environment and an altitude of 270 meters provide our bushes with perfect conditions for growth, with a constant flow of fresh air and natural sunlight.
Inspired by the abundant nature surrounding us, we strive to be authentic and conduct our business with respect for both the environment and people.
We have been dedicated to blueberries since 2006, and through our experience, we have achieved the highest level of quality.
When cultivating all our varieties of blueberries, we carefully oversee each step, and we particularly cherish and care for the heirloom varieties from 1928 and 1952.
We cultivate them all without the use of pesticides, and we manually remove weeds in our plantations. It is a slow and labor-intensive process, but the only proper one.
The bushes in our plantation grow naturally from the ground – they are not planted in substrate! As a result, our blueberries are rich in minerals.
We water them as needed with water collected from small lakes, and an important step is the mulching of shredded conifer wood around the bushes.
The shredded conifer wood protects the bushes from weeds and drying out, while simultaneously releasing magnesium and other nutrients into the soil, which will ultimately reach the blueberries as they ripen.
Hygiene
In order for such meticulous cultivation to make sense, the berry harvest itself must be equally careful.
Therefore, we harvest our blueberries while wearing hygienic gloves.
